Zairania Dancer

The latest in my dancer series, though this one is inspired by an old concept for a culture, species, and language I created back in high school.

The short explanation: The Zairania were beings that took a second form either of an eastern-inspired dragon or a winged wolf (I was young…) with slight cultural differences accordingly. They embraced dance as an expression of beauty, being, a means to share stories and connect with one's higher being, or meditate/calm the mind, and celebrate love. They lived in small villages scattered throughout the Middle East and East Africa and maintained a cohesive existence with nature.

The writing around the border and on her center sash is their language, Zairania’kei. The writing on her sash translates as “To eternally love dance”. The language is incomplete, but I would like to pick it up again as it is a wonderful learning experience to try and create a functional language!
